Compliance rules in NORĴI are not written from memory. Each one records the instrument it comes from, the provision, when it took effect, who checked it and when.
A rule is not a number in a settings file. It carries its own provenance, so a principal can ask where a warning came from and get an answer rather than an assurance.
If the provenance is missing, the rule does not fire.
A checked rule fires at thirty days, fourteen and seven, escalates to the principal, and arrives with the correspondence that resolves it already drafted.
There is no legal interval for a legionella risk assessment, and the regulator has criticised letting agents for implying there is. So we display no date, rather than one that looks reassuring.
A rule nobody has verified is marked unchecked and stays silent. You are told it is silent. Guessing a date that looks right is the failure this page exists to prevent.
Any product can display a deadline. Showing none where the law creates none, and admitting which rules have not been read yet, is the part that tells you what the rest of the dates are worth.
The rule set is built by reading instruments, not by summarising guidance about them. We publish what has been checked and what has not, and we will tell you which is which before you buy anything.
